Monroe Narling Spencer – Age 73 – Passed away on November 18, 2020 at Tennove Health Care in Clarksville, TN. He was born in Republican, Arkansas on September 26, 1947 to the late Mr. William Spencer and Mrs. Freddie Addist (McBride) Spencer. He is survived by his daughters: April Dwayna Williams (Spencer) and Melody Jolene (Jonny) Henry (Spencer) of Ashland City, TN; Sons: Ivan Matthew Spencer and De”mon Jackson of Ashland City; Sisters; Martha Helen Williams (Spencer) of Kerman, CA. and Martha Jo (Ricky Ray) Brannum (Spencer). Mr. Spencer is also survived by his grandchildren Kristina (Robert Crawford) Felix, Elizabeth (Dean) Williams Finch, Ashley (James) Spencer Ard, Johnny R. (Courtney Labore) Henry Jr., Larry T Johnson II, Kevin (Makaiya Perkins) Henry, Georgia Henry, Jacob Henry, and Danielle Johnson, Jorden Henley, Savannah Warren, and seven Great Grandchildren. Brooklyn Finch, Marcellus Newsome, Chad Johnson, Ma’Kya Felix, Ma’Kerria Felix, Amayia Smith Chenry, and Johnny R. Henry III. Mr. Spencer was a Loving son, brother, daddy, Granddaddy and Great- Granddaddy. Daddy Monroe was a hard worker by day & a musician by night up until he retired. He was a God-Fearing man who taught his entire family about the lord. He loved his community, and never met a stranger. He would give his shirt off his back to anyone in need. He could find the positive in everything and took pride in whatever he did. He is Preceded in death by his Daddy William Crosby Spencer, Momma, Freddie Addist (McBride) Spencer, beloved friend Shirley Spencer, brother Woodrow Eugene Spencer, and his sister Dathal Juanita Spencer. Visitation will be held on Monday November 23, 2020 from 4-7pm and on Tuesday November 24, 2020 from12pm till the time of services. Brother Chris Armstrong will be officiating the services from the Chapel of Boyd Funeral Home on Tuesday November 24 at 2pm with a burial to follow at Blue Willow Cemetery in Ashland City, TN.
