Obituary for James Robert Mayo James Robert Mayo, age 78, died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at his home in Ashland City, TN. He is preceded in death by his wife Sue Carolyn Mayo and his parents Horace and Agnes Mayo. He is survived by his son Danny (Kim) Mayo of Brentwood, TN, daughters Rebecca Byers of Ashland City, TN, Renie (Lee) Vance of Ashland City, TN, Denise Overton of Nashville, TN, 7 grandchildren, devoted nieces Maria Turner, Katrina Waltenbaugh, and Carolyn Rogers. Visitation with the family will be held at Boyd Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Boyd Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 3 p.m. with Adam Waltenbaugh officiating. Pallbearers will be Stan Lovell, Mike Rigby, Ben Rigby, Joel Waltenbaugh, Darryl Murray and Price Turner. Honorary pallbearer will be Matt Mayo. Interment will follow in the Felts Cemetery. The family entrusted Boyd Funeral Home with the arrangements.
