Edgar Ozell Simpkins

Ozell Simpkins age 84 of Ashland City, TN passed away on Wednesday April 04, 2012 at the North Crest Medical Center in Springfield, TN. He was born in Ashland City to the late Ed and Grace (Wayman) Simpkins on November 12, 1927. Mr. Simpkins was the former acting President of United Record Pressing Inc., and a member of the Scottsdale United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Ronald Simpkins Sr. brothers Elihue, Lawrence, and Malcom Simpkins, and sister Mable Simpkins Petty. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Kitty Simpkins, sons Jimmy (Sue) Simpkins, Robert (Brenda) Simpkins, Michael Simpkins, and Kelly Simpkins, daughter Cathy (Jack) Rickard, daughter in law Lynn Simpkins, brothers Jerry BB (Rachel) Simpkins, David (Irene) Simpkins, sisters Addie Mae Wood, Gladys (Charles) LeDuc, and Joyce Duke. Mr Simpkins had twenty two grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Visitations for Ozell Simpkins will be at the Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth St. Ashland City, TN on Thursday April 5th from 4 - 8pm and on Friday the 6th from 10 - 11am. The Funeral Service for Mr. Edgar Ozell Simpkins will be from the Chapel of the Boyd Funeral Home on Friday April 6, 2012 at 11:00am.
