John Jennette

Jennette, John Harvey - Age 73 passed away on the 11th of June 2013 at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center in Nashville.. He was born in Cheatham County TN on the 20th of September 1939. He was preceded in death by his parents, __Willie Albert and Mary Virginia Jennette, his brother Willie Albert Jennette, nephew Scottie Jennette. Survived by his wife of 54 yrs. Mary Ann, son Keith (Rhonda) Jennette of Denton, TX, daughter Kimberly (Mark) Lillie of Bowling Green, KY, grandchildren Scott Lillie & Shelby Lillie of Bowling Green, KY, Chance Alford of Nashville, TN, Chandler Jennette of Denton, TX., brother Dale (Nelda) Jennette of Henrietta, TN, sisters Betsy (Eddie) Bowman of Henrietta, TN, Connie Jennette of Madison, TN, Sue (Mike) Rudd of Ft Worth, TX, Carol Luther of Hermitage, TN and sister-in-law Shirley Jennette of Pleasant View, TN, several beloved nephews, nieces and extended family. He was a kind, caring gentleman who was loved by all. Johnny graduated from Cheatham County high school where he played football for the beloved Coach Ralph Spangler. He served four years in the US Army serving in Korea. Johnny worked with the US Army Corps of Engineers retiring in 1996 with 34 yrs. After retirement he enjoyed farming, fishing, and golfing. He returned to work for a short time during the Hurricane Katrina disaster in New Orleans. and Galveston, TX. Visitation for Johnny Jennette will be at the Boyd Funeral Home on Thursday June 13th from 5-8pm, on Friday the 14th from 5-7pm and on Saturday the 15th from 11am-1pm. The Funeral Service for John Harvey Jennette will be in the Chapel of the Boyd Funeral Home on Saturday June 15, 2013 at 1:00pm with Bro. Sam Creed and Bro. Leon Edwards officiating.
