Mary Edith Nicholson

Mary Edith (Smith) Nicholson 91 of Scottsboro, Tn. died on Monday September 16, 2013 at the Bordeaux Long Term Care Center in Nashville. She was born on November 30, 1921 in Smith Co. to parents Charlie S. and Letha L. (Knight) Smith. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lonnie E. Nicholson, brothers Charlie S. Smith, Jr., R.D. Smith and C.E. Smith, sisters Bessie Estes, Mildred Smith, Elizabeth Adams, and Reba Powell. She is survived by her son Lonnie E. Nicholson and friend Melodi Crain, brothers Lawrence A. Smith, Gerald "Butch" Smith and Samuel Jessie "J.D." Smith, sisters Bobbie Jean McPherson, Tillie Graham, and honorary sister, Nancy S. Smith. Mary had one grandson, Lonnie E. Nicholson lll, and three great grandsons Blake, Brent and Bradley Nicholson. Visitation for Mary Edith Nicholson will be at the Boyd Funeral Home in Ashland City on Wednesday September 18th from 4-8pm and on Thursday the 19th from 9-11am. The Funeral Service for Mary Edith Nicholson will be on Thursday September 19, 2013 from the Chapel of the Boyd Funeral Home at 11:00am. Burial will follow.
