Phillip Gupton

Phillip Wendall Gupton 78, died on Friday November 22, 2013 at the St. Thomas Mid Town Hospital. Phillip was born on August 1, 1935 to parents James and Nellie (Pardue) Gupton in Henrietta, TN. Phillip is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers James Wallace and Buford Darnell Gupton. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Troyce Gupton, sons Randy Gupton (and Shirley Bradford), Mark (Cathy) Gupton, daughters Sheila (Joey) Shores, Lisa (Frankie) Kellett and sister-in-law Dalton Wallace. Phillip had ten grandchildren Josh, Leslie, Justin, Amanda, Andrea, Randall, Cody, Hunter, Wade and Stacia and two great Grandchildren Caylee and Samantha. Phillip was a hard working man that loved raising his tobacco and his big garden. Before he got his pride and joy, his IH tractor, Phillip did his farming with mules. He was a loving husband and family man. Visitation for Phillip Gupton will be at the Boyd Funeral Home on Sunday the 24th from 2-7pm and on Mon. from 10-12 noon. The Funeral Service for Phillip Wendall Gupton will be in the Chapel of the Boyd Funeral Home on Monday November 25, 2013 at 12:00 noon with Bro. Larry Robertson officiating.
