James Mason Lemons, Sr. 86 of Ashland City died on Sunday evening April 13, 2014 at the Alive Hospice in Nashville. He was born on March 24, 1928 to parents Robert and Lena Vertie (Wyman) Lemons in Ashland City. James Mason was preceded in death by his parents, son Bobby Lemons, brother Bobby Sanders and sister Beverly Sanders. He is survived by his wife Virginia Lemons, son Jim Lemons, Jr. four grandchildren Tim Lemons, Melyssa Beasley, Jared Lemons, and Jeffrey Lemons, and three great grandchildren Cayla Lemons, Peyton Lemons and Brody Beasley. James Mason retired from the Army Corps of Engineers. He enjoyed fishing and talking on his CB radio having the handle' of "Pack-Rat". Visitation for James Mason Lemons, Sr. will be at the Boyd Funeral Home on Wednesday April 16th from 3-8pm. and on Thursday from 10-12noon. His Funeral Service will be in the Boyd Chapel on Thursday April 17, 2014 at 12:00 noon with Bro. Goodpasture officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery on Forest St. in Ashland City.
