Elizabeth J. Allen, 93 of Joelton, TN passed away on Thursday February 26, 2015 in Old Hickory, TN. Elizabeth was well loved by all who knew her. Her husband Hubert Earl Allen, JR. said he met Elizabeth at the Nashville YWCA where she worked in the cafeteria, soon after they married. They have been married 75 years. Elizabeth was born in Nashville on August 19, 1920 to parents George and Rose Lee (Michel) Jones. She is survived by her husband Hubert, son H. Earl Allen lll, (Margie), daughter Patricia Ann Galloway (John), brother Roger Jones, six grandchildren Kym Watson, Jay Galloway, Jodie Duke, Keenan Allen, Jennifer Smith, and Kevin Allen, she had twelve great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, with numerous nieces and nephews. Elizabeth loved working outdoors with her flowers and over the years hosting many community picnics. Visitation for Elizabeth will be at the Boyd Funeral Home on Friday February 27 from 4-7:30 and Sat. from 10 till time of service at 12 noon with Bro. Ken Webb officiating.
