Lillian C. Vess -82

Lillian C. Vess -82, of Chapmansboro, TN passed away on Sunday March 1, 2015 at her home. She was born in Cheatham County on November 12, 1932 to parents Arthur E. and Margaret (Lane) Highers. Lillian is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Maj. John W. Vess, Jr., brothers Clifton, Arnold, Tommy, and David Highers, sisters Sadie Pardue, Bettie Hampton and Nancy Gafford. She is survived by her sons Randall Vess and Gary Vess (Gwen), brother Terry Highers, sisters Mary Binkley and Linda Jordon. Visitation for Lillian Vess will be at the Boyd Funeral Home on Tuesday March 3, 2015 from 2 - 7pm. Her graveside service and burial will take place at the Middle TN. VA Cemetery in Pegram, TN on Wednesday morning. Those attending will meet at the Rotunda at the VA Cemetery by 10:00am for her graveside service. She will then be buried next to her husband Maj.
