Charlotte D. McClelland, 89 of Ashland City passed away on Tuesday November 1st, 2016 at her home. Charlotte was born on January 3, 1927 to parents Paul and Annie Belle (Hobing) Bowers in Springfield, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband J.W. McLelland, brothers Paul, Gerald, Robert, Eugene and William Bowers, sisters Mildred Miller, Dorthy Wallace, Ishie Compton, Bettye Earhart, Virginia Bowers, and several nieces and nephews. Charlotte and J.W. never having children, she is survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends over her 89 years. Charlotte was retired from State Stove (A.O. Smith). Visitation for Charlotte McMelland will be at the Boyd Funeral Home 101 Elizabeth St. Ashland City, TN 37015 on Friday November 4th from 11 am till time of service at 1pm. After the service, we will be dismissed and those attending the burial, will later meet at the Woodlawn Cemetery on Thompson Lane in Nashville at 3:00pm.
