Floyd Griffin -91

Floyd Griffin, 91 of Ashland City passed away on Sunday March 5, 2017 at the Waters of Cheatham. Floyd was born on December 10, 1925 in Cheatham County to the late Mckinley and Ailene (Oakley) Griffin, Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Floyd Allen Griffin, brothers Mckinley Griffin, Jr, Roscoe, Roy and Oscar Griffin, sisters Mary Frances Griffin, Mattie Tidwell, Minerra Griffin and one great grandchild Ronnie Warren. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Frances Griffin, sons Mckinley Harns Griffin and Charles Philip Griffin, Sr, daughter Louise Griffin Anderson, brother Ernest Griffin, sisters Dimple Crump and Novella Markel, Floyd had four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Floyd was a member of the Chapel Hill Church of Christ, he loved horses and he and Frances were known to come back home after a real successful day of fishing. Visitation with family will be on Tuesday March 7th at the Boyd Funeral Home from 4 - 7pm and Wednesday from 9am till time of service at 11:00am with Bro. Ralph Taylor officiating.
