Calvin Delton Colson, Jr -85

Calvin ‘Delton’ Colson, Jr, 85 passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday April 12, 2018 in Charlotte, TN. Delton was born in Clay Co. TN on August 16, 1932 to the late Calvin Richard and Lena (Harvey) Colson. He was a devoted father and loving grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed spending time fishing with all the family. For many years he worked and owned his own construction business. During the Korean War, he proudly and Honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was the 14th of 15 children. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and mother of his children, Della Mae ‘Dale’ (Reeder) Colson, sister Pauline Colson Thompson and infant grandson Richard Colson, brothers Arvil, Odis, Buck Carvel, Haltie, Grady, Hoy and Willie Dugan Colson, sisters Lela and Mary Lou Colson, Lily Colson Sherfield, Pauline Colson Thompson and Ruby Colson Daniels. Delton is survived by his son Richard 'Ricky' (Cathy) Colson, daughter Robin Colson (Roy) Brewer, brother O.D. (Eudean) Colson and sister Vela Colson Lee, grandchildren Chrissy and Cassy Colson and Ashley Brewer (Larry) Bailey, great grandchildren Kathryn, Calvin, lll, and Katelyn Colson, and a host of nieces and nephews. As for Calvin Delton Colson’s request, he will be cremated  at the Richlawn Crematory in Waverly, TN. and the family will have a private Celebration of his life at a later date.
